The Regional English Language Office (RELO) at the United States Embassy in Amman, Jordan, has enjoyed longstanding partnership with the English Language Olympia and its General Manager, Dr. Majed Hamed, as one of the sponsors of last year’s Olympia, the RELO was pleased to see participants from throughout the region compete in a variety of events that promoted English language, intercultural communication, teamwork, and community service.

The English Language Olympia also provides an excellent forum for educators to promote interactive teaching and learning of the English language. Indeed, last year’s Olympia enabled dozens of English language professionals to network and share ideas they could bring back to their schools across Jordan and other countries in the Middle East.

I am sure the next English Language Olympia will be highly useful and successful in further motivating youth in the region and around the world in their study of English.
