Learning English language and mastering it early on in life is considered one of the most important academic and vocational success factors, since it is the language of science, technology, scientific research, economics, and e-commerce. It is also the main language of learning at educational institutions and universities around the world.

The importance of learning English stems from the fact that it is one of the most essential grounds of globalization and communication among nations, and the key to establishing cross-cultural awareness. It enables individuals to adapt to the challenges of increased knowledge and new technology, and enhances their linguistic intelligence and mental abilities.

The concept of the English Language Olympia (ELO) was designed to be an incentive for the participants to develop their English language skills. The focus is on learning the language in an engaging environment, by forming teams that work together to come up with creative solutions for the main topics of the Olympia. Participating teams compete to improve their language skills, provide community service through a project that fulfills the goals of the ELO theme, and develop teamwork skills through working in groups.

The great success of the Olympia in its previous years was a result of the huge participation of private and public educational institutions of both the local and international school systems, as well as the sponsorship of more than 60 large entities. This success led to proceeding confidently toward the 2023 Olympia, which is expected to attract about 80 teams of 1100 participants from around the world this year.

Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the sponsors and supporters from both the private and public sectors in Jordan and abroad who made the ELO a marvelous triumph over the past years.
